Well today, I had a professor embarrass a few students in a review session. Not really out of the ordinary for law school. I mean, it really is full of humiliation, degradation, and just general demoralization. I suppose it's their way of preparing you for the real world. I suppose the gentle hazing or the "pinpointing" of particular students, can even be construed as a compliment in some cases, if that person happens to be you. If the professor took the time to remember your name out of 80 students, I would have to say it's pretty dern significant.
Now on to bigger and better things.

My good friend from undergrad, a chauvinist republican college grad who is currently serving in the army, has convinced me of the utter importance of the show Mad Men. After watching the show at its inception only a handful of times, I had decided to boycott it in all of its sexist fervor. But I decided to give it one more go after hearing from several fellow law students of its merit. And by golly! The characters at Sterling Cooper are so pathetic I just can't take myself away! I never thought i'd be become a Mad Woman myself, but I guess I did. How terribly sad.
I'd prefer not to share it with the world, but I suppose I have finally succumbed to the social critiques and the costumes (not to mention the scandal) Mad Men has to offer. Plus somehow, those characters really have something we can all relate to don't they? Especially in the law student world. Everyday in class I feel like a mix of Peggy and Joan (with a tinge of Betty screaming to get out).
